Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Paneer Stuffing

In a mixing bowl, add shredded paneer, cumin powder, chopped tomato, pepper powder, chaat masala, salt, chopped coriander leaves, and lime juice. Combine all the ingredients well until a uniform stuffing is formed.

Step 2: Assemble the Sandwich

Take two slices of whole wheat bread. Spread a generous amount of the prepared paneer stuffing evenly over one slice of bread.

Step 3: Butter the Bread

Place the second slice of bread on top of the stuffing to complete the sandwich. Apply butter evenly on the outer side of the top bread slice.

Step 4: Grill the Sandwich

Preheat your sandwich maker. Carefully place the buttered sandwich inside the sandwich maker with the buttered side down. Apply butter on the remaining unbuttered side of the sandwich. Close the lid and grill until the sandwich turns golden brown and crispy, typically for 3-5 minutes.

Step 5: Serve Hot

Once grilled, carefully remove the paneer sandwich from the sandwich maker. Cut it diagonally into two halves and serve immediately with your favorite ketchup or chutney.

Pro Tips

Serve hot with ketchup or mint chutney for the best taste.

Adjust the spice levels according to your preference by adding more or less chili.

For a richer flavor, you can use homemade paneer.

Recipe Variations

Add finely chopped onions, bell peppers, or grated carrots to the paneer stuffing for extra crunch and nutrition.

Experiment with different types of bread like multigrain, sourdough, or even white bread.

If you don't have a sandwich maker, you can grill the sandwich on a tawa (griddle) until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
