    Arrange 3 cups of cored and sliced apples into a 9-inch pie plate.

    In a bowl, combine 1 cup of melted unsalted butter, 2 cups of rolled oats, 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of chopped walnuts, and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Stir until a crumbly mixture forms, resembling wet sand.
