Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Season the Chicken Breasts

Slice chicken breasts thinly if they are thick. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon of garlic parmesan, 1 teaspoon of lemon pepper, and 1 teaspoon of onion powder.

Step 2: Prepare the Dry Batter Mix

In a large container, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of corn starch, and 1/2 cup of Louisiana Chicken Fry (or additional all-purpose flour if not available). Add 2 teaspoons of garlic parmesan, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, 2 teaspoons of black garlic pepper, 3 teaspoons of Accent (MSG), 2 teaspoons of lemon pepper, and 4 teaspoons of onion powder to the dry mix. Close the container and shake well to combine all ingredients evenly.

Step 3: Deep Fry the Chicken

Heat oil in a deep fryer to the appropriate temperature for frying chicken (usually around 350-375°F (≈175°C) (approximately 175°C) or 175-190°C (≈345°F) (approximately 345°F)). Coat each seasoned chicken breast thoroughly in the prepared dry batter mix. Carefully place the battered chicken breasts into the hot oil. Fry for approximately per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F (≈75°C) (approximately 75°C) or 74°C (≈165°F) (approximately 165°F)). Remove chicken from fryer and place on a wire rack or paper towels to drain excess oil.

Step 4: Deep Fry the Waffle Fries

Place frozen waffle fries into the deep fryer basket. Fry according to package instructions, typically , until golden brown and crispy. Remove fries from fryer and place on a wire rack or paper towels to drain excess oil.

Step 5: Assemble the Classic Chicken Sandwich

Spread mayonnaise on both halves of a hamburger bun. Place 2-3 leaves of lettuce on the bottom bun. Add 1-2 slices of tomato on top of the lettuce. Place one fried chicken breast on the tomatoes. Cover with the top bun.

Step 6: Assemble the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich

Spread mayonnaise on both halves of a second hamburger bun. Place 2-3 leaves of lettuce on the bottom bun. Add 1-2 slices of tomato on top of the lettuce. Place the second fried chicken breast on the tomatoes. Drizzle Frank's RedHot sauce generously over the chicken. Drizzle honey over the hot sauce. Cover with the top bun.

Step 7: Season the Waffle Fries

Sprinkle Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning over the hot waffle fries. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the fries. Serve the chicken sandwiches immediately with the seasoned waffle fries.

Pro Tips

• If chicken breasts are thick, slice them thin for even cooking.

• Use corn starch for extra crunch in the batter.

• Adjust seasoning amounts to your preference.

Recipe Variations

• Use different types of hot sauce or sweet chili sauce.

• Toast the buns for added texture.

• Experiment with different fry seasonings.
