Peda in 5 mins

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 tbspGhee
  • 2 cupsMilk powder
  • 1/2 cupPowdered sugar
  • 1/2 cupMilk

Garnish

  • as neededChopped almonds
  • as neededChopped pistachios
  • fewSaffron strands

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Melt Ghee

Add 4 tablespoons of ghee to a pan and let it melt over low heat.

  2. 2.Add Dry Ingredients

Add 2 cups of milk powder, 1/2 cup of powdered sugar, and 1/2 cup of milk to the pan with the melted ghee.

  3. 3.Mix and Cook

Mix all ingredients well. Continue to stir continuously on a low flame. The mixture will gradually thicken (around 0:27) and start to leave the pan (around 0:30), forming a cohesive dough-like mass.

  4. 4.Cool the Mixture

Remove the pan from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly until it's warm enough to handle.

  5. 5.Shape the Pedas

While the mixture is still warm, take small portions and roll them into smooth balls. Use a peda mould to press and shape them into traditional pedas, creating a decorative pattern on top.

  6. 6.Garnish

Garnish each peda with chopped almonds, pistachios, and a few saffron strands for added flavor and visual appeal.
