Ingredients

For the Curd Mixture

  • 50 mlFresh Thick Curd
  • 1 tspRed Chilli Flakes
  • 1/4 tspSalt
  • 1/4 tspTurmeric Powder

For the Green Paste

  • 1Green Chilli
  • 2 clovesGarlic
  • 1/4 cupCoriander Leaves
  • 1 tspLemon Juice
  • 1/4 tspSalt

  • 4 slicesMilk Bread
  • 4 tbspButter
  • 1 tbspOil

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Prepare the Curd Mixture

    In a bowl, add 50 ml of fresh thick curd. Then, add 1 teaspoon of red chilli flakes, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder. Mix all these ingredients thoroughly until well combined.

  2. 2.Prepare the Green Paste

    Place 1 green chilli, 2 cloves of garlic, 1/4 cup of coriander leaves, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt into a blender. Blend until a smooth, vibrant green paste is formed.

  3. 3.Combine Mixtures to Form Curd Chutney

    Add 3 tablespoons of the prepared green paste to the curd mixture. Mix well until the green paste is fully incorporated into the curd, creating a flavorful 'curd chutney'.

  4. 4.Toast the Sandwich

    Heat a pan and melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Place one slice of milk bread on the pan. Apply a generous and even layer of the prepared curd chutney on top of the bread. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of oil around the sides of the bread and add a small dollop of butter on top of the chutney. Gently flip the bread to toast the other side. Add another 1 tablespoon of butter to the pan, then apply butter to the newly toasted side of the bread. Apply another layer of curd chutney on this side. Toast the bread on a low flame, pressing gently with a spatula, until both sides are golden brown and crispy.

  5. 5.Serve the Curd Sandwich

    Once perfectly toasted, remove the bread from the pan. Cut the toasted bread into triangles. Serve immediately as a delicious and instant evening snack.
