Follow each step to make the recipe successfully.
In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup chickpea flour. Add 1/2 medium chopped onion, 1/4 cup chopped tomato, 1-2 chopped green chilies, and 5-6 chopped curry leaves. Season with 1 tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder. Gradually add water and mix well to form a smooth, thick, and lump-free batter.
Take one slice of bread and spread a generous layer of the prepared batter evenly over one side of the bread.
Heat cooking oil in a flat pan or tawa over medium heat for shallow frying.
Carefully place the batter-coated bread slices into the hot oil, with the batter side facing down. You can place multiple slices depending on the pan size.
Fry each side for approximately or until the batter is cooked through and turns golden brown and crispy. Flip the bread slices using a spatula to cook the other side.
Once both sides are golden brown and crispy, remove the bread pakoras from the pan and place them on a plate. Serve hot.
