  • 2 cupsSuji/Semolina
  • 1/2 cupGhee
  • 1 cupPowdered Sugar
  • 1/2 tspCardamom Powder

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Roast Suji (Semolina)

    Take 2 cups of suji (semolina) in a pan. Roast it on low heat while stirring continuously for about 2-3 minutes until it becomes aromatic.

  2. 2.Add Ghee and Continue Roasting

    Add 1/2 cup of ghee to the suji in the pan. Continue roasting on low heat for another 7-8 minutes, stirring continuously, until the suji becomes aromatic and slightly golden.

  3. 3.Cool and Mix with Sugar

    Remove the pan from heat and keep it aside to cool down for 5 minutes. After cooling, add 1 cup of powdered sugar to the suji mixture and mix well. Cover the mixture for 5 minutes to allow all ingredients to combine nicely with the residual warmth.

  4. 4.Blend the Mixture

    Pour the suji and sugar mixture into a blender. Blend for about 1 minute to achieve a smoother texture while the mixture is still slightly warm.

  5. 5.Add Cardamom and Form Laddus

    Transfer the blended mixture back into a bowl. Add 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder and mix well with your hands. Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into round laddus. You may lightly grease your hands with ghee if needed while shaping.

  6. 6.Serve Suji Laddus

    Your soft and flavorful Suji Laddu sweets are now ready to be served and enjoyed. These traditional homemade treats are perfect for any occasion.
