  3. Thickened cream (or pouring/whipping cream) 1.5 cups (400 ml)
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Black pepper to taste
  6. Freshly grated Parmesan cheese 0.5 cup
  7. Freshly chopped parsley 2 tablespoons

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Boil Pasta

Boil 500 grams of fettuccine pasta according to package directions until .

Step 2: Reserve Pasta Water

Before draining the pasta, reserve 1/4 cup of the starchy pasta water and set it aside.

Step 3: Drain Pasta

Drain the cooked pasta and set it aside while you prepare the sauce.

Step 4: Cook Garlic

In a large fry pan or pan, melt 30 grams of butter over medium heat. Add 3-4 teaspoons of garlic and cook, stirring, for about until the garlic is fragrant.

Step 5: Add Cream

Pour in 1.5 cups (400 ml) of thickened cream (or any pouring/ cream).
