  • 1 tspRed Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 tspTurmeric Powder
  • 1 tspCumin Powder
  • 1 tspGaram Masala
  • 1 tspSalt
  • 1/2 cup (approx.)Water
  • as neededOil Spray
  • as neededWooden Skewers

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Cut Paneer

    Cut the paneer blocks into 12-15 rectangular pieces of desired size.

  2. 2.Mix Dry Ingredients

    In a bowl, combine chickpea flour, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix all the dry ingredients thoroughly.

  3. 3.Toss Paneer in Dry Flour

    Take the cut paneer pieces and lightly toss them in the dry flour mixture, ensuring each piece is coated with a thin layer.

  4. 4.Prepare Batter

    Add water gradually to the remaining dry flour mixture in the bowl, whisking continuously, until a thick, smooth, and lump-free batter is formed.

  5. 5.Coat Paneer with Batter

    Pour the prepared batter over the flour-coated paneer pieces in a tray, ensuring all pieces are fully covered with the batter.

  6. 6.Thread Paneer onto Skewers

    Carefully thread the batter-coated paneer pieces onto wooden skewers. This helps in easy handling and even cooking in the air fryer.

  7. 7.Prepare Air Fryer for Cooking

    Place the paneer skewers on a baking sheet inside the air fryer basket. Lightly spray the paneer pieces with oil.

  8. 8.First Air Fry

    Close the air fryer and cook the paneer pakora at 170°C (340°F) for 10 minutes.

  9. 9.Second Air Fry

    After 10 minutes, open the air fryer, spray the paneer pieces with oil again, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy.
