Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Fry Cashews and Raisins

Add 2 tsp Ghee to a pan. Add 10 cashews to the pan and fry until golden brown. Then, add 10 raisins and fry until they puff. Remove the fried cashews and raisins from the pan and keep aside.

Step 2: Prepare Rice and Milk Base

Add another 2 tsp Ghee to a pot. Add 2 tbsp rice to the pot and stir fry for . Pour 1 litre of full cream milk into the pot. Bring the milk to a boil and continue for , stirring occasionally.

Step 3: Add Sugar and Thicken

Add 1/4 cup sugar to the milk. Continue to for or until the quantity of milk is by 30% and the payasam thickens to a creamy consistency.

Step 4: Combine and Serve

Add the previously roasted cashews and raisins to the payasam. Mix well to combine all ingredients. Serve the Paal Payasam warm or chilled.
