Follow each step to make the recipe successfully.
Wash and finely chop or grate all the vegetables: 1 green bell pepper, 1 onion, 2 carrots, 1 small head of cauliflower, and 3 medium potatoes.
In a large plate, combine the finely chopped bell pepper, onion, grated carrots, and grated cauliflower.
In a separate mixing bowl, add 1 cup of semolina (suji) and salt to taste.
Add the mixed chopped vegetables to the semolina in the bowl.
Add 1 teaspoon of garam masala powder and 1 teaspoon of red chili powder to the mixture.
If desired, add 1 teaspoon of Piri Piri Cheese Mix for extra flavor.
Gradually add water to the mixture while stirring continuously to form a smooth batter. Add more salt if needed.
Add 2 teaspoons of ginger garlic paste to the batter and mix well until fully incorporated.
Heat a tawa (griddle) on medium flame. Once hot, spread about 1 teaspoon of refined oil evenly over the surface.
Pour a ladleful of the prepared batter onto the hot tawa and gently spread it into a round shape. Drizzle a little more oil around the edges.
Cook until the edges turn golden brown and the base is firm. Then, carefully flip the cheela using a spatula and cook the other side until golden brown and crispy. Press gently with the spatula for even cooking.
Once cooked from both sides, remove the cheela from the tawa and serve hot with ketchup or your favorite chutney.
