Monkey Sauce

  • 1 stick (1/2 cup)Unsalted Butter
  • 1/2 cupBrown Sugar
  • 1 tspGround Cinnamon
  • 1 tspVanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cupHeavy Cream

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Prepare Cinnamon Sugar Coating

    Combine 1 cup white sugar and 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon in a large resealable plastic bag. Seal the bag and shake well to mix, then set aside.

  2. 2.Prepare Biscuit Dough

    Open two cans of refrigerated biscuit dough. Separate each biscuit and cut it into four equal pieces.

  3. 3.Coat Biscuits

    Add the cut biscuit pieces into the bag with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Seal the bag and shake vigorously until all biscuit pieces are evenly coated.

  4. 4.Grease Bundt Pan

    Liberally grease a Bundt pan with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

  5. 5.Arrange Biscuits

    Evenly distribute the coated biscuit pieces into the greased Bundt pan.

    In a saucepan, melt 1 stick (1/2 cup) of butter. Add the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture from the bag, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1/2 cup heavy cream. Stir continuously over medium heat until the mixture is smooth and slightly thickened, resembling a caramel sauce.

    Pour the prepared monkey sauce evenly over the biscuit pieces in the Bundt pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

    Once baked, remove the Bundt pan from the oven. Place a serving plate upside down over the pan and carefully flip it over. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes before lifting the pan to allow the sauce to fully set and prevent the monkey bread from falling apart.
