Easy Delicious Monkey Bread

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 3 (16.3 oz) cans (1.39 kilograms)Buttermilk biscuits
  • 1 cup (200 grams)Granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoonGround cinnamon

For Caramel Sauce

  • 1 cup (226 grams)Unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup (165 grams)Packed light brown sugar

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grab a 10-inch bundt pan and grease it thoroughly with baking spray or butter to prevent sticking.

  2. 2.Prepare Biscuits

Open 3 cans of buttermilk biscuits. On a cutting board, cut each biscuit into quarters. You can stack biscuits to cut them faster and then peel the individual quarters apart.

  3. 3.Coat Biscuits with Sugar and Cinnamon

Transfer all the cut biscuit pieces into a large bowl. Add 1 cup (200 grams) of granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon. Mix thoroughly with your hands or a spatula until all biscuit pieces are evenly coated with the sugar-cinnamon mixture.

  4. 4.Arrange Biscuits in Bundt Pan

Place the coated biscuit pieces into the greased bundt pan, ensuring they are distributed somewhat evenly and there are no large gaps. If you have any remaining cinnamon sugar mixture in the bowl, sprinkle it over the top of the biscuits in the pan.

  5. 5.Prepare Caramel Sauce

In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup (226 grams) of unsalted butter and 3/4 cup (165 grams) of packed light brown sugar. Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally with a wooden spoon or spatula until the butter is completely melted and the mixture comes to a boil. Remove the saucepan from the heat immediately once it boils. (Optional: For a salted caramel flavor, you can add 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of salt to the mixture at this stage).

  6. 6.Pour Caramel and Bake

Carefully pour the hot caramel mixture evenly over the biscuit pieces in the bundt pan, ensuring it coats as many pieces as possible. Transfer the bundt pan to the preheated oven and bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the top is a deep golden brown and the biscuits are cooked through.

  7. 7.Cool and Serve

Once baked, remove the monkey bread from the oven. Allow it to cool in the pan on a wire rack for about 10 minutes. Then, place a serving plate over the bundt pan and carefully invert it to release the monkey bread onto the plate. Serve warm, pulling apart individual pieces with your fingers or slicing with a knife.
