  • 1Potato, chopped
  • 2 tbspCapsicum, chopped
  • 2 tbspSoaked moong dal
  • 1/2 tbspChilli flakes
  • 1/2 tbspBlack pepper powder
  • 1/2 tbspCumin
  • 1 tbspSesame
  • 2 tbspCorn flour
  • 2 tbspCurd
  • for fryingOil

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Prepare the Mixture

    In a large bowl, combine the chopped potato, chopped capsicum, soaked moong dal, chili flakes, black pepper powder, cumin, sesame seeds, corn flour, and curd.

  2. 2.Mix and Form Patties

    Mix all the ingredients thoroughly by hand until a cohesive mixture forms. Take small portions of the mixture and gently shape them into flat, round patties.

  3. 3.Heat Oil

    Heat a sufficient amount of oil in a pan over medium flame for shallow frying the patties.

  4. 4.Fry the Patties

    Carefully place the prepared patties into the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry on medium flame until one side turns golden brown and crispy.

  5. 5.Cook Both Sides

    Flip the patties using tongs and cook the other side until it also becomes golden brown and crispy. Continue frying until all patties are cooked through and have a desirable golden color on both sides.

  6. 6.Serve

    Once cooked, remove the patties from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil. Serve the crispy patties hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup.
