In a large mixing bowl, add 400g of Nutella (or a generic chocolate hazelnut spread), 3 eggs, and 1 cup of plain all-purpose flour. Mix all ingredients together using a spatula until just combined and you have a thick, sticky, moist batter. Avoid overmixing.
Lightly grease and line a 20cm (8-inch) square baking pan with non-stick baking paper. A brownie pan or a square cake pan will work perfectly.
Transfer the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan. Use the spatula to spread the batter out evenly, ensuring it reaches all corners and is roughly the same height across the pan.
Place the pan into a preheated oven at 180°C (approximately 355°F) (360°F (approximately 180°C)) and bake for approximately . The brownies will be slightly firm on the outside but still soft in the middle.
Once baked, remove the brownies from the oven. Allow them to cool on the counter for about for a gooier consistency, or up to for a firmer, more cake-like texture. The brownies will continue to set as they cool.
Carefully lift the cooled brownie out of the pan using the non-stick baking paper. Place it on a cutting board and slice it into squares. Serve immediately and enjoy your warm, chocolatey treat!
• For gooey brownies, allow to cool for about 5 minutes before cutting and serving.
• For firmer, more cake-like brownies, allow to cool for about 15 minutes before cutting and serving.
• These brownies are best made as required and eaten fresh.
• Elevate your brownies by adding a Nutella frosting, a scoop of ice cream, or fresh berries like raspberries or strawberries.
• Add chocolate chips to the batter for extra chocolatey goodness.
• Top with a sprinkle of sea salt to enhance the chocolate flavor.
• Mix in chopped nuts (like walnuts or pecans) for added texture.
