  • 1 tbspTomato Chilli Sauce

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Prepare Vegetables

Chop green chillies, shred carrots, slice onions, dice tomatoes, and dice capsicum (bell pepper). Boil and mash the potatoes.

  2. 2.Prepare Mixed Sauce

In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise and 1 tablespoon of tomato chilli sauce. Mix well until smooth. This will be used as a spread for the bread.

  3. 3.Sauté Vegetables

Heat a pan on medium flame. Add 50g of Amul butter and 1 tablespoon of cooking oil. Once the butter melts and sizzles, add 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds (jeera) and let them splutter. Add the chopped onions, capsicum, tomatoes, green chillies, and shredded carrots to the pan. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables soften slightly.

  4. 4.Add Spices and Potatoes

Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the sautéed vegetables and mix well. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 2 minutes to further soften the vegetables. Remove the lid and add the mashed boiled potatoes. Mix thoroughly with the vegetables. Add 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder, 0.5 teaspoon of turmeric powder (haldi powder), 1 teaspoon of cumin powder (jeera powder), 1 teaspoon of coriander powder (dhaniya powder), and 1 teaspoon of garam masala (secret masala). Mix all the spices well into the vegetable and potato mixture.

  5. 5.Add Cheese and Sauces

Add 2-3 slices of Amul cheese (torn into pieces) to the mixture. Squeeze in 2 tablespoons of tomato ketchup, 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of Schezwan sauce, and 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce. Mix everything thoroughly until the cheese melts and all ingredients are well combined, forming a cohesive filling.

  6. 6.Finish the Filling

Stir in 0.25 cup of chopped fresh coriander leaves (dhaniya patta) into the vegetable filling. Mix well. The sandwich filling is now ready.

  7. 7.Assemble the Sandwiches

Take two slices of white bread. Brush one side of each slice with melted butter. On the unbuttered side of one bread slice, spread a generous amount of the previously mixed sauce (mayonnaise and tomato chilli sauce). Spoon a good portion of the prepared vegetable filling onto the sauced bread slice. Place the other buttered bread slice on top, buttered side up, to complete the sandwich.

  8. 8.Grill the Sandwiches

Place the assembled sandwiches into a preheated sandwich maker. Close the lid and grill for 3-5 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy, and the filling is heated through. Alternatively, you can grill them on a pan.

  9. 9.Serve

Once grilled, carefully remove the sandwiches from the maker. Cut them diagonally and serve hot with extra tomato ketchup or Schezwan sauce.
