Step 1: Prepare Carrot Halwa Base

Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee in a pan. Add 1 cup of grated carrots and until softened, about . Add 1/4 cup castor sugar and 4 tablespoons of milk, mixing well. Cook until the liquid is absorbed and the carrots are tender. Add a few saffron strands and mix. Set aside to cool slightly.
