Tomato Roast Dosa | Instant Dosa Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250g)Rava (semolina)
  • 1/2 cup (125g)Wheat flour
  • 3 nosKashmiri chilli
  • 1/2 tspJeera (cumin seeds)
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1 1/2 nosTomato
  • 2 tbspYogurt (curd)
  • 1/2 cupWater
  • for cookingOil

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Prepare the dry ingredients

    Add 1 cup (250g) rava and 1/2 cup (125g) wheat flour to a blender. Blend until finely powdered.

  2. 2.Add wet ingredients and spices

    To the powdered mixture, add 3 Kashmiri chillies, 1/2 tsp jeera, salt to taste, 1 1/2 chopped tomatoes, 2 tbsp yogurt (curd), and 1/2 cup water.

  3. 3.Blend the batter

    Blend all ingredients in the mixer until a smooth dosa batter consistency is achieved. Ensure it's not too watery, similar to regular dosa batter.

  4. 4.Cook the dosa (first side)

    Heat a non-stick tawa. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the hot tawa and spread it in a circular motion to form a thin dosa. Drizzle a little oil around the edges and over the dosa.

  5. 5.Cook the dosa (second side)

    Once the edges start to crisp and the dosa turns golden brown, gently flip it using a spatula. Cook for a short time on the other side until lightly browned.

  6. 6.Serve

    Remove the cooked dosa from the tawa and serve hot. Repeat the process for the remaining batter.
