  • 4 (boneless, skinless, chopped into roughly even chunks)Chicken breasts
  • 1 (peeled, roughly chopped)Onion

  • To tasteBlack pepper
  • 1 tablespoonCurry powder
  • 1 teaspoonChili powder
  • 1 tablespoonGaram masala
  • 3 cloves (crushed)Garlic
  • 1/2 cupTomato paste
  • 1 cupNatural yogurt
  • 400 ml (1 can)Coconut milk
  • 100 gButter

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Prepare Chicken and Onion

    Add the chopped chicken breasts and roughly chopped onion to the slow cooker pot.

  2. 2.Season with Salt and Pepper

    Season the chicken and onion with salt and black pepper to taste.

  3. 3.Add Spices and Flavorings

    Add curry powder, chili powder, garam masala, crushed garlic, tomato paste, natural yogurt, and butter to the slow cooker.

  4. 4.Add Coconut Milk

    Pour in the 400 ml can of coconut milk.

  5. 5.Mix Ingredients

    Stir all the ingredients together until they are well combined and the chicken is coated in the sauce.

  6. 6.Slow Cook

    Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on the high setting for 4 hours.

  7. 7.Final Stir

    After 4 hours, remove the lid and give the butter chicken a final stir to combine all the flavors.
