For Egg Mixture

  • 1 largeEgg
  • 1/4 teaspoonChili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoonSalt
  • 1/4 teaspoonBlack pepper powder

For Dosa

  • 1 ladle (approx. 1/2 cup)Dosa batter
  • 1 teaspoonCooking oil
  • 1/2 teaspoonGhee

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Prepare the egg mixture

    Crack one large egg into a bowl.

  2. 2.Season the egg

    Add 1/4 teaspoon of chili powder, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper powder to the egg in the bowl.

  3. 3.Beat the egg

    Beat the egg mixture thoroughly with a fork until all ingredients are well combined and the egg is frothy.

  4. 4.Make a dosa

    Heat a dosa tawa (griddle) on medium heat. Pour approximately 1/2 cup of dosa batter onto the hot tawa and spread it in a circular motion to form a thin, round dosa.

  5. 5.Add egg to dosa

    While the dosa is cooking, pour the beaten egg mixture evenly over the dosa and spread it properly with a fork to cover the surface.

  6. 6.Cook the dosa

    Drizzle 1 teaspoon of cooking oil and 1/2 teaspoon of ghee around the edges and over the egg mixture. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the bottom of the dosa is golden brown and crispy.

  7. 7.Flip and cook

    Carefully flip the egg dosa and cook the other side for another 1-2 minutes until the egg is fully set and cooked through.

  8. 8.Serve hot

    Remove the egg dosa from the tawa and serve it hot.
