Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the egg mixture

Crack one large egg into a bowl.

Step 2: Season the egg

Add 1/4 teaspoon of chili powder, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper powder to the egg in the bowl.

Step 3: Beat the egg

Beat the egg mixture thoroughly with a fork until all ingredients are well combined and the egg is frothy.

Step 4: Make a dosa

Heat a dosa tawa (griddle) on medium heat. Pour approximately 1/2 cup of dosa batter onto the hot tawa and spread it in a circular motion to form a thin, round dosa.

Step 5: Add egg to dosa

While the dosa is cooking, pour the beaten egg mixture evenly over the dosa and spread it properly with a fork to cover the surface.

Step 6: Cook the dosa

Drizzle 1 teaspoon of cooking oil and 1/2 teaspoon of ghee around the edges and over the egg mixture. Cook for about until the bottom of the dosa is golden brown and crispy.

Step 7: Flip and cook

Carefully flip the egg dosa and cook the other side for another until the egg is fully set and cooked through.

Step 8: Serve hot

Remove the egg dosa from the tawa and serve it hot.
