Wash 3/4 cup of sabudana thoroughly with water. Soak it overnight in a little water. The next morning, it will swell to 1 cup, becoming soft and ready to use.
Pour 3 cups of milk and 1 cup of water into a deep pot. Place the pot on the stove over medium-high heat and bring the milk to a rolling boil.
Once the milk is boiling, add the soaked sabudana to the pot. Stir continuously to prevent the sabudana from sticking to the bottom. Cook on medium flame for about , or until the sabudana pearls become transparent.
Once the sabudana is about halfway cooked and starting to become transparent, add half of the chopped almonds to the kheer. Continue stirring.
After the sabudana has turned transparent, add 2 cups of sugar to the kheer. Stir well until the sugar completely dissolves.
Add the crushed cardamom powder and the MTR Badam Mix powder to the kheer. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
Continue to boil the kheer for another after adding all the ingredients, stirring occasionally. Once done, turn off the gas. The kheer is now ready. Serve hot or let it cool down. Garnish with the remaining chopped almonds.
