Follow each step to make the recipe successfully.
Cut paneer into small cubes. In a bowl, combine the paneer cubes with red chili powder, oregano, garam masala, ginger garlic paste, and salt. Mix well to ensure all paneer pieces are evenly coated with the spices.
Take a thin slice of potato. Place a paneer cube in the center of the potato slice. Fold the potato slice around the paneer to create a 'butterfly' shape, then secure it firmly with a toothpick. Repeat this process for all the paneer cubes and potato slices.
Heat oil in a deep pan or wok over medium-high heat for deep frying. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the assembled paneer butterfly snacks into the oil. Fry them in batches until the potato slices turn golden brown and crispy, and the paneer is lightly browned. This should take approximately per batch.
Remove the fried snacks from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil. Immediately sprinkle with chaat masala and black salt for added flavor. Garnish with fresh chopped coriander and serve hot with your favorite ketchup or chutney.
