Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Nungu Paste

Peel the skin off 2 pieces of nungu (palm fruit). Place them in a blender with a small amount of milk and blend until a smooth paste is formed.

Step 2: Boil Milk

In a pot, bring 1 liter of milk to a boil over medium heat.

Step 3: Combine Nungu Paste with Milk

Once the milk starts to boil and froth, add the blended nungu paste from Step 1 to the boiling milk. Stir well to combine.

Step 4: Add Sweeteners and Flavor

Add 3 tablespoons of milkmaid (condensed milk) and 2-3 tablespoons of badam powder (almond powder) to the milk mixture. Stir until well incorporated.

Step 5: Add Sugar and Cook

Add 3/4 cup of sugar (adjust to your desired sweetness) to the mixture. Mix everything thoroughly and continue to cook for a few minutes until it boils and thickens slightly. Remove from heat and let it cool completely.

Step 6: Add Chopped Nungu

Once the milk mixture has cooled, add 7-8 finely chopped pieces of nungu to it. Stir gently.

Step 7: Prepare Garnish

In a small pan, heat 1 tablespoon of ghee. Add sliced almonds and chopped cashews and fry them until they turn golden brown. Be careful not to burn them.

Step 8: Garnish and Serve

Add the fried nuts from Step 7 to the prepared dessert and mix. Pour the dessert into serving glasses and serve chilled for the best taste.
