Healthy Breakfast Toast with Mushroom and Egg

  • 5 (chopped)Mushroom
  • 2 tspCooking oil
  • 1/4 tsp (or to taste)Salt
  • 1/4 tsp (or to taste)Black pepper powder
  • 1Egg
  • 2 slicesBread (seeded)
  • 1 tbspButter

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Prepare Mushrooms

    Wash and chop 5 mushrooms. Heat 1 teaspoon of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped mushrooms to the pan.

  2. 2.Season and Sauté Mushrooms

    Add 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper powder to the mushrooms. Stir-fry the mushrooms for about 1 minute until they are tender and slightly browned. Remove the cooked mushrooms from the pan and set aside in a bowl.

  3. 3.Fry the Egg

    Add another 1 teaspoon of cooking oil to the same pan. Crack one egg into the pan. Cook the egg until the whites are set but the yolk remains runny. Flip the egg carefully and cook for a few more seconds on the other side, ensuring the yolk is still soft.

  4. 4.Toast the Bread

    Place 2 slices of seeded bread into a toaster and toast until golden brown and crispy.

  5. 5.Assemble the Breakfast

    Once the bread is toasted, spread butter evenly on both slices. Place one buttered bread slice on a plate. Layer the sautéed mushrooms on top of the buttered toast. Carefully place the fried egg on top of the mushrooms.

  6. 6.Final Seasoning

    Sprinkle a little more black pepper powder and a pinch of salt over the fried egg. Serve immediately and enjoy your healthy breakfast!
