Place 400 gms of drumsticks in a pressure cooker. Add 3 cups of water and salt to taste. Close the lid and cook on medium heat for 2-3 whistles until the drumsticks are soft.
While drumsticks are cooking, heat 2 tablespoons of oil in another pressure cooker. Once hot, add 1 inch of ginger and 5-6 garlic cloves, for a few seconds. Then add 1 chopped onion and until translucent. Add 1 chopped tomato and cook for until it softens and blends well.
Once the pressure from the first cooker is completely released, remove the lid. Strain the cooked drumsticks, reserving the stock. Place the boiled drumsticks on a plate, cut them open, and use a spoon to scrape out all the soft pulp into a bowl. This pulp contains the true flavor and nutrients.
Add the extracted drumstick pulp to the onion, tomato, ginger, and garlic mixture. Mix well. Add 2 tablespoons of chopped coriander, crushed black peppercorns to taste, and 1/2 teaspoon of cumin powder. Cook this mixture on low heat for to allow the flavors to meld. Pour in the reserved drumstick stock and bring to a boil.
If the soup appears too thick, gradually add more of the reserved drumstick stock until desired consistency is reached. Use an immersion blender to blend the soup to a fine, smooth mixture. Taste and adjust salt if needed. Serve hot, garnished with fresh coriander and a sprinkle of crushed black peppercorns.
