Grease a round baking pan (for tarts) with a little butter. Unroll the first disc of puff pastry and carefully place it into the prepared pan, pressing it gently against the bottom and sides to adhere. Prick the bottom of the pastry with a fork several times.
Spoon the Nutella onto the pricked puff pastry base. Use the back of the spoon to spread the Nutella evenly across the entire surface, leaving a small border around the edges.
Trim any excess puff pastry from the edges of the pan using a pastry wheel or knife, leaving about 1-2 cm. Fold the remaining edge inwards to create a neat border. Press the border gently with a fork to create a decorative pattern and secure it.
Unroll the second disc of puff pastry. For easier handling, you can place it in the freezer for before this step. Using a pastry wheel or knife, cut the pastry into strips of approximately 1-1.5 cm width.
Carefully place the first set of pastry strips diagonally across the Nutella filling, spacing them evenly. Then, rotate the tart and place the remaining strips diagonally in the opposite direction, weaving them over and under the first set to create a lattice pattern. Trim any excess pastry from the ends of the strips and press them gently into the border to secure.
In a small bowl, crack one egg and add a drop of milk. until well combined. Using a pastry brush, lightly brush the entire lattice top and the border of the tart with the egg wash. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (approximately 355°F) (350°F (approximately 175°C)) for , or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
Once baked, remove the tart from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your quick and delicious Nutella tart!
