Follow each step to make the recipe successfully.

  1. Boil Water

    Pour 800ml of water into a pan and bring it to a boil.

  2. Add Rice and Salt

    Once the water is boiling, add 200g of rice and 1/2 teaspoon of salt to the pan. Stir to combine.

  3. Cook Rice

    Cook the rice for on low heat until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.

  4. Add Milk and Sugar

    Pour 1 litre of milk into the cooked rice and add 150g of sugar. Stir well to dissolve the sugar.

  5. Add Raisins and Simmer

    Add 50g of raisins to the mixture. Continue to on low heat, stirring occasionally, until the rice pudding reaches your desired creamy consistency.

  6. Garnish and Serve

    Once the kheer has thickened, transfer it to a serving bowl. Garnish with sliced almonds and pistachios before serving.
