Step 2: Add Tea and Boil

Add 3 tbsp of tea to the pot. Stir well and bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, allowing it to simmer for until the tea darkens and the spices infuse.

Step 3: Add Milk and Sugar

Once the mixture is boiling, add 350 ml of milk and 2 tbsp of sugar to the pot. Stir to combine.

Step 4: Second Boil

Bring the tea to a second boil, allowing it to simmer for another until it reaches a rich, creamy color and aroma.

Step 5: Strain and Serve

Remove the pot from heat. Strain the chai into cups to remove the tea leaves and spices. Serve hot.

Pro Tips

• For a stronger spice flavor, lightly crush the cardamom pods and cloves before adding them to the water.

• Adjust the amount of sugar and milk to your personal preference.

• For a richer taste, use full-fat milk.

Recipe Variations

• Add a small piece of fresh ginger for a ginger chai.

• Experiment with other spices like black peppercorns or star anise.

• Use a dairy-free milk alternative for a vegan version.
