Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Combine Water and Spices

In a small pot, combine 350 ml of water, 3 cloves, 1 tsp fennel seeds, 5 green cardamom pods, and 1 small cinnamon stick.

Step 2: Add Tea and Boil

Add 3 tbsp of tea to the pot. Stir well and bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, allowing it to for until the tea darkens and the spices infuse.

Step 3: Add Milk and Sugar

Once the mixture is boiling, add 350 ml of milk and 2 tbsp of sugar to the pot. Stir to combine.

Step 4: Second Boil

Bring the tea to a second boil, allowing it to for another until it reaches a rich, creamy color and aroma.

Step 5: Strain and Serve

Remove the pot from heat. Strain the chai into cups to remove the tea leaves and spices. Serve hot.
