  • 1 tube (8 biscuits)Grands Biscuits
  • 6-7 patties (or 1 lb ground sausage, browned and drained)Jimmy Dean Original Fully Cooked Sausage Patties
  • 1/2 cup, diced (optional)Bell peppers
  • 1/2 tsp (to taste)Salt
  • 1/2 tsp (to taste)Black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp (to taste)Garlic powder
  • 2-3 slices, crumbled (optional)Cooked bacon
  • 2 cups, dividedShredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 largeEggs
  • 1/2 cupMilk
  • 1/4 cup, sliced (optional)Pickled jalapeños

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Prepare Biscuits

    Cut 1 tube of Grands Biscuits into 6 pieces each and spread them evenly across the bottom of a greased 9x13 baking dish.

  2. 2.Add Sausage Layer

    Sprinkle thawed and diced pre-cooked sausage patties (or browned and drained ground sausage) evenly over the biscuit pieces in the baking dish.

  3. 3.Add Optional Vegetables and Seasoning

    Optionally, add sautéed diced bell peppers, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder over the sausage layer.

  4. 4.Add Optional Bacon

    Optionally, sprinkle crumbled cooked bacon pieces over the casserole.

  5. 5.First Cheese Layer

    Cover the ingredients with 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.

  6. 6.Prepare Egg Mixture

    In a separate bowl, whisk together 6 large eggs and 1/2 cup of milk. Add a pinch of black pepper if desired.

    Pour the whisked egg and milk mixture evenly over all the ingredients in the baking dish.

  8. 8.Second Cheese Layer and Jalapeños

    Top the casserole with the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Optionally, arrange sliced pickled jalapeños on one half of the casserole to mark it.
