Peel the two overripe bananas and mash them thoroughly with a fork on a plate until they form a coarse paste.
In a small bowl, take 1 tablespoon of vanilla-flavored custard powder. Add approximately 1/2 cup of normal temperature milk and mix well with a spoon until there are no lumps and a smooth paste is formed.
Heat a pan on the stove and add 1 tablespoon of ghee. Spread the ghee evenly across the pan. Once the ghee is melted, add the mashed bananas to the pan and them for , stirring continuously, until they are slightly cooked and fragrant.
Gradually add 2 cups of milk to the bananas in two batches. Add the first cup, stir until well combined and slightly thickened, then add the second cup and continue stirring. Allow the mixture to come to a gentle boil and thicken slightly.
Slowly pour the prepared custard mixture into the pan while continuously stirring the banana and milk mixture. Keep stirring until the dessert thickens to your desired consistency.
Add 1/4 cup of sugar (or to taste) and stir until it dissolves completely. Then, add the chopped makhana and sliced almonds to the dessert. Mix well.
Stir in 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder for enhanced flavor. Continue to stir for another minute. Once the dessert reaches a thick, creamy consistency, turn off the gas flame.
Transfer the hot banana dessert into a serving bowl. Garnish with additional sliced almonds before serving. This delicious and healthy dessert can be enjoyed warm or chilled.
