Add 3 eggs, a pinch of salt, and 150g of sugar to a large mixing bowl. Whisk until the mixture is light yellow and well combined.
Pour 80g of melted butter into the egg mixture and whisk again until fully incorporated. Then, add 180ml of milk and whisk until smooth.
Add 300g of flour and 1 teaspoon of baking powder to the wet mixture. Using a wooden spoon, gently mix until just combined and no dry streaks of flour remain.
Add 2 diced apples to the batter and gently fold them in with the wooden spoon until evenly distributed.
Line a 16cm x 20cm loaf pan with parchment paper. Pour the apple cake batter into the prepared pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 35 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before slicing and serving.
