  • 2 tbspVegetable oil
  • 1/2 medium, dicedCarrot

  • 1 tbspRice wine
  • 1/4 cupWater
  • 1/2 tspSeasoning salt
  • 1/4 tspBlack pepper

For Fried Vegetarian Smoker Meat

  • 2 cups (for deep frying)Vegetable oil
  • 2 pieces (approx. 250g total)Vegetarian smoker meat

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Prepare the Vegetables

    Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add the diced carrots and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until they start to soften.

  2. 2.Stir-fry Dutch Beans

    Add the Dutch beans to the wok with the carrots. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the beans are vibrant green and tender-crisp.

  3. 3.Season the Vegetables

    Deglaze the wok with 1 tablespoon of rice wine, stirring until it evaporates. Add 1/4 cup of water, cover the wok, and let the vegetables steam for 1 minute. Season with 1/2 teaspoon of seasoning salt and stir well to combine.

  4. 4.Remove Vegetables

    Once the vegetables are cooked to your desired tenderness, transfer them to a serving plate and spread them evenly.

  5. 5.Deep Fry Vegetarian Smoker Meat

    In the same wok (or a separate deep pot), heat 2 cups of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches approximately 170-180°C (340-350°F). Carefully place the two pieces of vegetarian smoker meat into the hot oil and deep fry for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.

  6. 6.Slice and Serve

    Remove the fried vegetarian smoker meat from the oil and drain any excess oil. Slice the meat into 1 cm (approximately 0.4 inches) thick pieces. Arrange the sliced vegetarian smoker meat on top of the stir-fried Dutch beans and carrots on the serving plate. Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper before serving.
