    Pour idli batter into the greased molds of an idli steamer, filling each mold almost to the brim.

  2. 2.Steam Idlis

    Place the idli stand into a steamer with boiling water and cover with a lid. Steam for approximately 8-10 minutes until the idlis are cooked through and fluffy.

  3. 3.Check Doneness

    After steaming, carefully remove the lid and insert a fork or knife into an idli to check if it comes out clean, indicating it's fully cooked.

  4. 4.Remove Idlis

    Carefully remove the cooked idlis from the molds using a spoon or knife, ensuring they retain their shape.

  5. 5.Coat with Chutney Powder and Oil

    Place the idlis in a bowl containing chutney powder (idli podi). Drizzle a generous amount of oil over the idlis and gently coat each idli thoroughly with the powder and oil until evenly covered.
