Follow each step to make the recipe successfully.

  1. Prepare Soya Chunks

    Boil the soya chunks well. Once boiled, drain the water and squeeze out any excess water from the chunks.

  2. Prepare Soya Chunks Mixture

    In a bowl, add the boiled and squeezed soya chunks. Add 1 medium chopped onion, 2 medium chopped tomatoes, 2-3 slit green chillies, 1-2 bay leaves, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp pulao masala, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, and salt to taste. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly by hand until well combined.

  3. Pressure Cook the Mixture

    Transfer the prepared soya chunks masala mixture into a pressure cooker. Add 1/4 cup of water. Close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook for 2 whistles.

  4. Prepare Tempering

    Heat 2-3 tablespoons of oil in a separate pan. Add 1 tsp cumin seeds and until they splutter and become fragrant. Add 1 medium chopped onion and until the onions turn lightly golden.

  5. Add Spices to Tempering

    To the onions, add 1 tsp red chilli powder, 2 tsp coriander powder, and 2 tsp garam masala. Mix well and cook the spices for about until fragrant.

  6. Combine and Sauté

    Add the pressure-cooked soya chunks mixture to the pan with the . Mix everything well. the mixture on medium heat until it becomes thick and the masala coats the soya chunks nicely. Add 1 tsp crushed pepper and mix again.

  7. Serve

    Serve the Soya Chunks Delight hot with soft chapatis.
