Follow each step to make the recipe successfully.

  1. Heat Oil and Fry Onions

    Heat 4 tablespoons of oil in a pressure cooker. Add 1 big chopped onion and fry on medium flame until it turns golden brown.

  2. Add Ginger & Garlic Paste

    Add 1 teaspoon of ginger & garlic paste to the fried onions and continue to fry until the raw smell disappears, about to .

  3. Add Chicken and Salt

    Add 500g of chicken pieces to the cooker. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of pink salt over the chicken and mix well to coat the chicken evenly.

  4. Add Tomatoes and Green Chillies

    Add 3 medium chopped tomatoes and 3 chopped green chilies to the chicken mixture. Stir everything together.

  5. First Cook

    Close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook for on medium flame.

  6. Add Dry Spices

    Open the lid and add ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon of Kashmiri chilli powder, 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder, and 1 tablespoon of curry powder (or chicken masala). Mix all the spices thoroughly with the chicken and vegetables.

  7. Second Cook

    Close the lid again and cook for another on medium flame.

  8. Add Water and Final Cook

    Open the lid and add 1 cup of water. Stir well to combine. Close the lid for the final time and cook for .

  9. Finish with Garam Masala and Coriander

    Open the lid, add ½ teaspoon of garam masala. Garnish with ½ cup of chopped coriander leaves and mix gently.

  10. Serve

    Serve the simple chicken curry hot with rice or bread.
