Follow each step to make the recipe successfully.
In a bowl, take 3 tablespoons of ragi flour and add 1 cup of water. well to ensure there are no lumps.
In a clay pot or saucepan, add 3 cups of water and bring it to a rolling boil over medium heat.
Once the water boils, add 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
Slowly pour the prepared ragi mixture into the boiling water while continuously stirring to prevent lumps.

Remove the cooked ragi porridge from heat and let it cool down completely. It will thicken further as it cools.
In a separate bowl, add 1 cup of curd and 1 cup of water. Churn or thoroughly until smooth and lump-free. If using buttermilk, you can skip this step.
Once the ragi porridge has cooled, pour the prepared buttermilk into it.

Stir all the ingredients together. Optionally, add 2 tablespoons of cooked rice for a more substantial meal.
Pour the prepared ragi kool into serving cups. Garnish with additional fresh ingredients if desired. Serve chilled.
