Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Boil Milk

In a pan, add 1/2 cup of water, then pour in 1/2 liter of milk. Stir the milk and bring it to a boil over medium heat.

Step 2: Add Sabudana and Saffron

Once the milk comes to a boil, the heat to low. Add 1 cup of pre-soaked sabudana and 7-8 saffron strands. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

Step 3: Cook until Thickened

Continue to cook the kheer on low heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Cook for about until the sabudana pearls become translucent and the kheer starts to thicken slightly.

Step 4: Add Sugar

Add 1/2 cup of sugar to the kheer. Stir continuously until the sugar completely dissolves and the kheer reaches your desired creamy consistency. Cook for another .

Step 5: Finish with Spices and Nuts

Turn off the gas. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder and the chopped almonds and cashews. Mix everything thoroughly.

Step 6: Serve

The delicious Sabudana Kheer is now ready to be served. Garnish with a few extra saffron strands or chopped nuts if desired.
