  1. Heat Oil

    Heat 2-3 tablespoons of cooking oil in a large wok or kadai until it's very hot.

  2. Sauté Vegetables

    Add the shredded cabbage, carrots, chopped spring onion whites, and chopped green chilies to the hot oil. Stir-fry on high heat for until slightly tender-crisp.

  3. Add Rice

    Add the cooked Basmati rice to the wok with the vegetables.

  4. Season the Rice

    Sprinkle salt to taste, 1 teaspoon of black pepper powder, and 1 teaspoon of fried rice masala powder over the rice and vegetables. Toss everything together gently to combine the seasonings.

  5. Add Sauces and Toss

    Pour 1-2 tablespoons of soy sauce and 1-2 tablespoons of vinegar over the rice. Continue to toss and stir-fry on high flame for another , ensuring all ingredients are well mixed and heated through.

  6. Garnish and Final Toss

    Add the chopped fresh coriander and chopped spring onion greens. Give it a final quick toss to incorporate the fresh herbs.

  7. Serve

    Transfer the hot restaurant-style veg fried rice to a serving plate and serve immediately.
