Follow each step to make the recipe successfully.
In a large bowl, add 2 cups of semolina (rava/suji). Add 2 tablespoons of pre-made tadka (onion, tomato, ginger, garlic paste). Season with 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of garam masala, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of amchur powder.
Gradually add 2 cups of water to the semolina and spice mixture. Mix thoroughly until a thick batter is formed. Ensure there are no lumps. Do not soak the semolina; mix immediately.
Stir in 2 tablespoons of Kitchen King masala. Just before cooking, add 1 sachet (5g) of Eno fruit salt to the batter. Mix quickly and gently until the Eno is fully incorporated and the batter becomes fluffy.
Heat an appe pan on medium heat. Lightly grease each cavity with a few drops of refined oil.
Pour a small amount of batter into each greased cavity, filling it about halfway. Place one small square of cheese (paneer) on top of the batter in each cavity. Cover the cheese with another layer of batter, ensuring not to overfill.
Cover the appe pan with a lid and cook for on medium-low heat until the bottom is golden brown and the snacks have puffed up.
Carefully uncover the pan. Using a stick or a small spatula, gently flip each snack to cook the other side. Drizzle a few more drops of refined oil over each flipped snack.
Cover the pan again and cook for another until both sides are evenly golden brown and cooked through. Check for doneness by rotating them with the stick.
Once cooked, remove the rava cheese snacks from the appe pan and transfer them to a serving plate. Serve hot with your favorite chutney or ketchup.
