Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow each step to make the recipe successfully.

  1. Prepare the Potato Base

Peel the boiled potatoes while they are still warm and mash them thoroughly until smooth. Ensure there is no excess water. Let them cool slightly.

  2. Combine Ingredients

To the mashed potatoes, add the egg, shredded kashar cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, salt, baking powder, and finely chopped parsley. Mix well to combine all ingredients evenly.

  3. Form the Dough

Gradually add the flour, starting with 1.5 cups, and the mixture. If the dough is too sticky, add the remaining flour (up to 2 cups) a tablespoon at a time until it comes together. The dough should be soft and slightly sticky, not overly firm. Avoid over-.

  4. Portion and Roll

Divide the dough into equal portions to form small balls. Lightly flour your work surface and each dough ball. Roll out each ball thinly into a round flatbread shape.

  5. Cook the Flatbreads

Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Place one rolled flatbread into the hot pan. Cook for a few minutes until golden brown spots appear on the bottom, then flip and cook the other side until it is also golden brown and cooked through. Repeat with the remaining dough.

  6. Serve

Once cooked, remove the flatbread from the pan. While still warm, spread a little butter on top. Serve immediately and enjoy!
