Mushroom Tikka – Air-fried

Ingredients

For Marinade

  • 1/4 cupHung Curd
  • 1 tspJeera Powder
  • 1 tspRed Chilli Powder
  • 1 tspCoriander Powder
  • to tasteSalt
  • 2-3 tbspBesan (Chickpea Flour)
  • 1/2 tbspGinger Garlic Paste
  • 1 tbspRogan (Hot Mustard Oil with Kashmiri Red Chilli)

Main Ingredients

  • 200 gmsMushrooms
  • 1/4 cupCapsicum (chopped)
  • 1/4 cupOnions (petals/cubed)

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Prepare the Marinade

    In a bowl, combine 1/4 cup hung curd, 1 tsp jeera powder, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, salt to taste, 2-3 tbsp besan, 1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste, and 1 tbsp rogan (hot mustard oil infused with Kashmiri red chilli). Whisk until a smooth, thick paste forms.

  2. 2.Marinate Vegetables

    Add 200 gms whole mushrooms, 1/4 cup chopped capsicum, and 1/4 cup onion petals to the prepared marinade. Mix thoroughly with your hands to ensure all vegetables are well coated with the marinade.

  3. 3.Load Air Fryer

    Carefully place the marinated mushrooms, capsicum, and onions in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd it.

  4. 4.Air Fry

    Close the air fryer and cook at 180°C for 14-15 minutes, or until the tikka is golden brown and cooked through. Shake the basket halfway through cooking for even browning.

  5. 5.Serve

    Once cooked, remove the mushroom tikka from the air fryer. Serve hot with green chutney and fresh onion rings.
