    Core the larger tomatoes and slice them in half. Slice Roma tomatoes in half. Leave cherry tomatoes whole. Place all prepped tomatoes in a bowl.

  2. Sauté Aromatics

    In a saucepan over medium-high heat, melt 1.5 tablespoons of butter with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add 3 garlic cloves and 1 anchovy fillet. Sizzle for to , stirring occasionally, ensuring the garlic does not brown.

  3. Simmer the Tomatoes

    Carefully transfer the prepped tomatoes and any accumulated juices into the saucepan. Poke and settle them down with a spoon. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and a small pinch (1/4 tsp) of red pepper flakes (optional).
