Follow each step to make the recipe successfully.
Boil 3 eggs and make small cuts on all sides. In a separate pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Fry the boiled eggs with a pinch of salt, chili powder, and turmeric until lightly browned. Set aside.
In a rice cooker pot, add 4 tablespoons of oil and 1 tablespoon of ghee. Add biryani spices such as bay leaves, cloves, and cardamom.
Add 1 large sliced onion to the pot along with a pinch of salt. until the onions turn light brownish.
Add 1 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste and mix well, cooking until the raw smell disappears.
Add 1-2 chopped tomatoes. Then, add 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 2 teaspoons of chili powder, 1 tablespoon of coriander powder, 1 tablespoon of chicken masala, and 1 tablespoon of salt. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
Cook the mixture for about until the tomatoes soften and the spices are well combined.
Add 2 cups of basmati rice, which has been pre-soaked for and drained, to the pot. Gently mix with the masala. Add 4 cups of water.
Place the previously fried boiled eggs on top of the rice. Close the lid of the rice cooker and cook for until the rice is fully cooked.
Once cooked, serve the hot Egg Dum Biryani.
