Main Ingredients

  • 1/4 mediumOnion
  • 1/4 mediumOrange bell pepper
  • 2 largeEggs
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1Cheese slice
  • 1 tspCooking oil

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Prepare Vegetables

Dice approximately 1/4 of a medium onion and 1/4 of a medium orange bell pepper into small, uniform pieces.

  2. 2.Prepare Eggs

Crack 2 large eggs into a bowl. Add a pinch of salt and whisk thoroughly with a fork until the yolks and whites are well combined and slightly frothy.

  3. 3.Sauté Vegetables

Place a small non-stick pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium. Add about 1 teaspoon of cooking oil. Once hot, add the diced onions and bell peppers to the pan and sauté for 1-2 minutes until they begin to soften.

  4. 4.Cook Omelette

Pour the whisked eggs over the sautéed vegetables in the pan. Gently spread the egg mixture evenly across the pan. Cook for about 1-2 minutes until the edges start to set and the bottom is lightly golden.

  5. 5.Add Cheese and Fold

Place one slice of cheese on one half of the partially cooked omelette. Cook for another minute to allow the cheese to start melting. Carefully fold the other half of the omelette over the cheese.

  6. 6.Serve

Continue cooking for a few more seconds until the cheese is fully melted and the omelette is cooked through to your desired consistency. Carefully slide the omelette onto a plate and serve immediately.
