Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Fry Nuts

Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee in a pan. Add 1/4 cup of mixed nuts (almonds, cashews, and raisins) and fry until they turn golden brown. Remove the fried nuts and set them aside.

Step 2: Roast Vermicelli

In the same pan, add 1 cup of vermicelli (seviyan). Roast on medium heat, stirring continuously, until the vermicelli turns golden brown, which should take about .

Step 3: Add Milk and Boil

Pour 3 cups (750ml) of milk into the pan with the roasted vermicelli. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally to prevent the vermicelli from sticking to the bottom.

Step 4: Add Sugar and Cardamom

Once the milk starts boiling, add 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/4 teaspoon of green cardamom powder. Stir well to dissolve the sugar and combine all ingredients.

Step 5: Simmer and Thicken
