Creamy Semolina Milk Pudding (Rava Kheer)

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 literMilk
  • 4-5 tablespoonsSemolina (Rava)
  • 3 tablespoonsSugar
  • 1/2 teaspoonCardamom Powder

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Pour Milk into Pot

Pour 1 liter of milk into a heavy-bottomed pot and place it on a stove over medium heat.

  2. 2.Boil the Milk

Stir the milk occasionally with a ladle to prevent it from sticking to the bottom. Bring the milk to a rolling boil, which should take about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 3.Add Semolina

Once the milk is boiling, gradually add 4-5 tablespoons of semolina (rava) while continuously stirring to prevent lumps from forming. Continue stirring for about 5-7 minutes until the semolina is cooked and the mixture begins to thicken.

  4. 4.Add Sugar

Add 3 tablespoons of sugar to the thickened semolina mixture. Stir well until the sugar completely dissolves, which may cause the mixture to thin slightly.

  5. 5.Add Cardamom Powder

Add 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder to the pudding and mix thoroughly to combine the flavors.

  6. 6.Thicken and Serve

Continue cooking and stirring for another 2-3 minutes until the pudding reaches your desired thick and creamy consistency. Remove from heat and serve warm or chilled.
