Follow each step to make the recipe successfully.
Thoroughly clean 2 kg of crabs. Even if cleaned by the seller, wash them at home with turmeric and rock salt at least twice.
Peel 2 whole bulbs of garlic and a 1-inch piece of ginger. Lightly crush the ginger. Puree 5 medium tomatoes in a mixer. Add the pureed tomatoes and 2 tablespoons of rock salt to the kadai. Mix well and cook for until the oil separates from the mixture and the tomatoes are well incorporated.
Add enough water to the kadai to immerse the crabs. Bring the curry to a rolling boil over high heat. Once boiling, the heat to medium and for , allowing the crabs to cook and the flavors to meld.
Grind half a coconut to a fine paste. Add the coconut paste to the crab curry. Mix well and continue to for another .
Add 2-3 slit green chilies and chopped coriander leaves to the curry. Finally, add 1 tablespoon of freshly crushed black peppercorns. Mix gently and turn off the stove. Transfer the delicious crab curry to a serving pot.
