Follow each step to make the recipe successfully.
Chop 2 medium tomatoes and 2 medium capsicums into small, uniform pieces. Combine them in a bowl.
To the chopped vegetables, add 2-3 tablespoons of pizza & pasta sauce, 2-3 tablespoons of tomato ketchup, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder, and 1/2 teaspoon amchur powder. Mix all ingredients thoroughly until the vegetables are well coated with the sauces and spices.
In a separate bowl, prepare a thick batter using 1 cup semolina, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda, and water as needed. Ensure the batter has a smooth, pourable consistency, similar to idli batter.
Heat an appam pan over medium heat. Add approximately 1/4 teaspoon of oil or ghee into each mold. Pour the prepared semolina batter into each mold, filling it less than halfway. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for until the top appears dry and the edges start to turn golden brown.
Once the first side is cooked, carefully flip each appam bite using a spoon or skewer. Immediately add a spoonful of the prepared vegetable filling on top of the cooked side of each bite.
Generously sprinkle Amul Cheese (Mozzarella and Cheddar blend) over the vegetable topping on each appam bite. Ensure an even distribution of cheese.
Cover the appam pan again with a lid. Cook for another , or until the cheese has completely melted and turned gooey, and the appam bites are cooked through and golden brown on both sides.
Carefully remove the hot cheesy vegetable appam bites from the pan and arrange them on a serving plate. For an extra spicy and cheesy kick, sprinkle 'The Only Piri Piri Cheese Mix' over the hot bites just before serving. Enjoy immediately!
