Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Prepare the Cream Mixture

Add 160g of thick cream to a mixing bowl.

  2. 2.Add Sweetened Condensed Milk

Pour approximately 4 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk into the bowl with the thick cream. Adjust quantity based on desired sweetness.

  3. 3.Mix Cream and Condensed Milk

Stir the cream and condensed milk thoroughly with a spoon until they are well combined and smooth.

  4. 4.Add Vanilla Essence

Add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla essence to the cream mixture for flavor.

  5. 5.Final Mix and Chill Cream

Mix again until the vanilla essence is fully incorporated. Place the cream mixture in the refrigerator to chill while preparing other components.

  6. 6.Prepare Custard Base

Measure out 1.5 cups of milk. In a separate small bowl, add 1 tablespoon of custard powder.

  7. 7.Mix Custard Powder with Milk

Add a small amount of the measured milk to the custard powder and mix well to form a smooth, lump-free paste.

  8. 8.Combine Milk and Custard Paste

Pour the remaining milk into a saucepan. Add the prepared custard paste to the saucepan.

  9. 9.Add Sugar to Custard

Add 1/3 cup of sugar to the milk and custard mixture in the saucepan.

  10. 10.Cook the Custard

Place the saucepan on the stove over medium heat. Stir continuously until the custard slightly thickens. It should remain loose, not too thick, to allow the bread to absorb it properly.

  11. 11.Arrange First Bread Layer

Arrange bread slices in a serving tray, covering the bottom. The video shows fitting about 1.5 slices in a small rectangular tray.

  12. 12.Pour First Custard Layer

Pour a generous amount of the hot, loose custard over the bread slices, ensuring they are completely soaked.

  13. 13.Add First Cream Layer and Nuts

Spoon some of the chilled cream mixture over the custard layer. Sprinkle sliced almonds and chopped pistachios over the cream.

  14. 14.Arrange Second Bread Layer

Add a second layer of bread slices on top of the nuts and cream.

  15. 15.Pour Second Custard Layer

Pour the remaining hot custard over the second bread layer, covering it completely.

  16. 16.Add Final Cream Layer and Garnish

Add the remaining chilled cream mixture on top of the custard, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle more sliced almonds and chopped pistachios for garnish.

  17. 17.Chill the Pudding

Cover the tray and refrigerate for 2-3 hours, or until the pudding is well chilled and set. This allows the bread to absorb the liquids and become soft and creamy.

  18. 18.Serve

Once chilled, cut the pudding into desired portions and serve. Optionally, add an extra dollop of chilled cream on top just before serving for added richness.
