Heat cooking oil in a pan. Add the chopped rump steak beef and pan-fry. Season with 0.5 tsp salt, 0.25 tsp white pepper, 0.5 tsp sugar, and 1 tbsp Chinese rice wine. Stir-fry for a few minutes until the beef has a good sear on it.
Add the diced white onions to the pan with the beef. Stir-fry until the onions are translucent and the beef is cooked through. Once cooked, remove the beef and onions from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, add the 3 beaten eggs. Turn the temperature down to low heat. Gently move the cooked egg from the edges towards the center, allowing the uncooked egg to flow underneath. Continue this process until the egg forms an omelet-like shape but is not burnt.
Once the egg has formed an omelet-like shape, break it up into smaller pieces using your spatula. Add the 2 cups of cooked white rice to the pan and mix it well with the broken-up eggs, ensuring the eggs are evenly distributed throughout the rice.
Season the rice and egg mixture with 0.5 tsp salt, 0.25 tsp white pepper, 0.5 tsp sugar, and 0.25 tsp chicken bouillon powder. Turn up the heat to medium to help melt the spices and incorporate them into the rice.
Add the cooked steak and onions back into the pan with the rice. Then, add the grated carrots and green peas. Stir-fry all the ingredients together for a few minutes until the carrots have slightly softened and all components are thoroughly combined and heated through.
Once all ingredients are well mixed and heated, the steak egg fried rice is ready. Plate the delicious fried rice and serve immediately.
• Cook the eggs gently on lower heat to achieve soft, golden pieces before breaking them up.
• Do not break up the eggs until they have formed an omelet-like shape to ensure a good texture.
• Initially cook the rice on lower heat when mixing with eggs and spices, then increase heat to medium to properly melt and incorporate the seasonings.
• Substitute rump steak with other cuts of beef, chicken, or shrimp for different protein options.
• Add other vegetables such as corn, bell peppers, or mushrooms for more variety and nutrients.
